There are many electrically powered vehicles used in the industry for transporting people and goods within a factory’s premises. But as it happens, there are time and again minor to serious accidents occurring whenever a vehicle collides with a lift’s landing doors.
In order to avoid such incidents in future MEILLER Aufzugtüren has developed its IndustryGuard safety system, which was certified by the Labor für Stahl- und Leichtmetallbau GmbH at the University of Munich.
Test request:
At an impact of a vehicle with a total mass of 300 kg (vehicle and driver) the landing doors must remain in place. The impact speed is 8 km/h, the point of impact is at a height of 250 mm above top edge of the door sill. These requests were successfully tested at our Munich factory and were confirmed by the certifying institute.
